College Fest - Thrilling experience

Cultural fests...Sounds exciting.. doesn't it?? These fests have carved a niche in the college life. Annual fests - ACUMEN and EUPHORIA take place in the mid March at Vasavi College of Engineering. This year, it was held on 14th-16th March.

14th March 2019:

        The day started with the Technical fest ACUMEN. All the students of 2nd & 3rd years prepared technical games and projects. Some of the events organised under ECE department are Paper and Poster presentation, Gyro Maze, Home Automation, etc. Inspire and Ignite is one of the successful events under ECE department. In this event, 6th - 8th standard students of the nearby Government school are invited to showcase their talents. I took part in Paper and Poster presentation and explained about IN-VIVO NETWORKING(not vivo mobile) through power point presentation. Acumen ended on a excited note by 4:00 P.M.

        The much-awaited Euphoria started at 6:30 P.M. The event started with the performances of the college bands ‘VJD’ & ‘The Nine Days’. Then started the heart of the night, the DJ. The DJ commenced with DJ Mark and is followed by DJ Nitish, official DJ of famous rapper Badshah. All the students took delight and set the floor on fire. The event ended at 10:00 P.M.
             

15th March 2019:

        This is the Traditional Day and all the students dressed up in Indian Ethnic outfits.
The whole day went in capturing ourselves. These pictures are the indelible memories forever. This session ended with bright colourful memories.

        In the evening, there was a Desi March. Few students of the college walked the ramp and adorn themselves with the designer outfits of famous designers. Then started the staging of ABINAAY, the dramatics club of Vasavi and they lit the dais with their alluring performance. Next is the concert by the well-known band NIRAVAL who gave a stunning performance. The event ended at 10:00 P.M.

16th March 2019:

        There was nothing particular to do in the morning. We passed our time by chit chatting. In the evening, prize distribution ceremony took place for winners in the sports events. Our seniors, who got placed in good companies with high packages also received medals from our faculty.
Next followed the THEME BALLET performance who rocked the dance floor. Then started the most excited part of Euphoria- THE SUNBURN FESTIVAL. As part of this, the two famous DJ’s, DJ Ravator and DJ Siana Catherine graced the event with a collection of rock music. The event ended at 10:30 P.M
